Warrenville, IL:  Plymouth Tube Company and Plymouth Engineered Shapes will exhibit at the Farnborough International Airshow 2012 to be held outside London this July. The Farnborough Airshow is the world’s largest trade-focused aerospace exhibition, gearing up for 1,400 exhibitors and over 150,000 visitors from 40 countries. Plymouth will be displaying aerospace product offerings from its Titanium Shapes Mill at Hopkinsville, KY and from its Stainless Steel Tube Mills in Salisbury, MD and East Troy, WI.

Plymouth Engineered Shapes (PES) is a key producer of Semi-Finished Titanium Airframe Extrusions to aerospace OEMs and their subcontractors. Earlier this year, PES was awarded a ten-year Titanium Extrusions contract by Airbus for the A350 XWB programs.  In support of this contract and its other aerospace titanium shapes business, PES announced a $12.1 million capability and capacity investment for its operations at Hopkinsville, KY.

Plymouth Tube has a long history of its stainless steel aircraft tubing being used in first flights, from Charles Lindbergh’s Spirit of St. Louis to the recent SpaceX Dragon Spacecraft.  Plymouth’s Salisbury facility specializes in small diameter Seamless Stainless Steel and Inconel Aircraft Tubing. In addition to maintaining Nadcap accreditation for Heat Treat, the Salisbury mill is also a Pratt & Whitney LCS and Rolls Royce approved site. Also a Pratt & Whitney LCS approved site, Plymouth’s Trent plant at East Troy, WI was acquired from Crucible Materials in 2007 and produces small to medium diameter Welded and Drawn Stainless Steel and Nickel Alloy Aircraft Tubing. One of a few manufacturers of 21-6-9 tubing in the world, the Trent plant is the only 21-6-9 approved supplier on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
