Plymouth® Space Market Products

Our titanium extrusions and welded and stainless steel tubing are crucial for space propulsion components including rockets, space suits, clean rooms, and other mission-critical applications.

To meet the rigorous demands of launch and orbital architectures, our Engineered Shapes division manufactures custom carbon and stainless steel extrusions and near-net profiles. Our extrusion process reduces secondary machining, minimizes material waste, and cuts overall component weight while maintaining the strict dimensional tolerances required for mission-critical space propulsion systems.

Near-net titanium profiles maintain mechanical integrity and dimensional tolerances while reducing component weight, machining, and material waste to construct efficient propulsion systems. The same strength-to-weight ratio and fatigue resistance that makes titanium extrusions so valuable for aerospace applications is also valuable for the space propulsion market. Titanium extrusions are used to help manufacture space industry components including:

  • Brackets
  • Mechanical housings
  • Launch pads
  • Structural propulsion components
