HS-50: High-Pressure Hydraulic Tubing®

High Pressure Hydraulic Tubing

Hydraulic Tubing for Higher Pressure Systems

HS-50® is Plymouth®’s proprietary grade of high-pressure hydraulic tubing. To construct higher pressure hydraulic systems, we developed HS-50 hydraulic tubing®. HS-50® is a cost-effective alternative to SAE J2614 Type-A tubing that provides the same mechanical properties while lowering the hydraulic system’s overall weight.

Manufactured for Higher Pressures

In addition to matching the mechanical properties of SAE J2614 Type-A tubing, HS-50 high-pressure hydraulic tubing® also offers 30% minimum elongation and a minimum yield strength of 50,000 psi (345 MPa). These specifications are in addition to the other advantages of HS-50 tubing:

  • Strength of Higher Alloy Steel: HS-50® affords customers the strength benefits of carbon-alloy steel, enhancing its performance at higher pressures.
  • Formability of J525: Despite its strength, HS-50® offers the same formability of J525, making it suitable for double flaring, tight-radius bending, and complex end forming.
  • Brazing Capabilities: HS-50® can be easily brazed for use with hydraulic and pneumatic lines, creating leak-proof joints with minimal material distortion.
  • Dimensional Consistency: Like all our tubing, HS-50® boasts tremendous dimensional consistency and build quality to maximize your hydraulic system’s efficiency.
