Supplying Hydraulic Tubing Since 1985

Plymouth® has been manufacturing carbon steel hydraulic tubing at our mill in Eupora, Miss., since 1985. Our Eupora mill was specifically built to produce hydraulic steel tubing, giving us more than 40 years’ experience supplying hydraulic tubing that meets our strict standards for quality and consistency. Plymouth®’s hydraulic tubing is manufactured in grade C-1010 modified, continuous-cast, and inclusion-controlled carbon steel to efficiently carry highly pressurized fluids.

Exemplary Performance Under High Pressure

We produce standard hydraulic steel tube as well as our proprietary HydraBrite® hydraulic tubing, which offers enhanced mechanical properties and higher dimensional tolerances. Our standard and HydraBrite® hydraulic tubing are first formed, welded, and cold drawn to customers’ exact specifications. The tubing is then annealed in a controlled atmosphere of hydrogen and nitrogen, resulting in a clean, bright finish on the tubing’s inner and outer walls. Hydraulic tubing is particularly valuable for hydraulic lines and assemblies, cylinders, actuators, as well as construction and mining equipment thanks to the following properties:

  • High Tensile and Yield Strength: High tensile and yield strength ensures our hydraulic tubing can withstand high loads and intense pressure without permanent distortion.
  • Consistent Wall Thickness: Hydraulic tubing’s uniform wall thickness provides better pressure resistance, pressure capacity, and improved safety for high-pressure systems.
  • Smooth Internal Surface: The smooth interior surface of hydraulic tubing maximizes the efficiency of its fluid flow for high-pressure applications.
  • Fatigue Resistance: Hydraulic tubing’s uniform walls offer longer fatigue life by minimizing localized stress and reducing turbulence with smooth fluid flow.
  • Reliable Bending, Flaring, and Welding: Hydraulic tubing’s strength and ductility make it ideal for consistent and repeatable bending, flaring, and welding.
