Who is Plymouth Tube Company?

Plymouth® is a privately held, family-owned precision metal manufacturer. Founded in 1924 as a single cold drawn tubing location in Michigan, we have grown into a global supplier with over 1.6 million square feet of manufacturing and office space. With a mission to meet or exceed customer expectations, we specialize in precision tubing, extruded shapes, and cold drawn shapes spanning specialty carbon, alloy, stainless steel, nickel alloy, and titanium.

Domestic Services (U.S. Facilities)

  • Extruded Engineered Shapes:
    • Carbon & Alloy Steel: Cross-sections up to 6” (152.4mm) diameter.
    • Stainless Steel: Cross-sections up to 5.5” (139.7mm) diameter.
    • Nickel Alloy: Cross-sections up to 6” (152.4mm) diameter.
    • Titanium: Generally, up to 7.75” (196.8mm) diameter, with some grades limited to 6 inches (152.4mm).
  • Cold Drawn Shapes: Solid rounds (0.2500″ to 3.750″ OD), hexagons/octagons (0.3125″ to 3.625″ across flats), and rectangles/squares (min 0.625″ to max 5.000″). Profiles fit within a 6.500″ diameter circle with standard tolerances of +/- 0.005″.
  • Precision Tubing: Comprehensive range including Carbon, Alloy, Stainless, and Aerospace-grade tubing with OD ranges from 0.125″ up to 4.000″.
  • Value-Added Services: Precision saw cutting, end finishing, light fabrication, kitting, Kanban, and special packaging. 

Global Services (Schwerte, Germany - PST)

  • Special Profile Solutions: World-leading provider of custom special profile solutions in steel, aluminum, and titanium.
  • Ballistic Protection Systems: Specialized design and manufacture of ballistic grille systems (sandwich grilles) for defense applications such as armored vehicles, submarines, and frigates.
  • Advanced Technical Processing: CNC milling, drilling, sawing, surface finishing, submerged arc welding, and thermal treatment.
