Celebrating 100 years of business in 2024, Plymouth Tube Company is a privately-held, family-owned, precision metals manufacturer of tubing and extruded shapes for use in a variety of industries. Headquartered in Warrenville, Illinois with six plants in the United States and Plymouth Schwerter Technik in Germany, Plymouth takes pride is supporting its customers with quality products and services.
Donald C. Van Pelt, Jr. (Van) has spent his entire full-time career at Plymouth Tube Company, serving in various roles and in multiple facilities located across the United States. His first job was a Plant Engineer working in Pinson, Al and over time he quickly advanced his career. Numerous titles held by Van included Maintenance and Production Supervisor, Quality Assurance Manager and Administrative Manager. In 1981, he became the Project Manager for a new, greenfield plant in Salisbury, MD. Production began in late 1982, and Van was later promoted to General Manager.
Van moved in 1989 to the headquarters office located in Warrenville, IL as Manager,Organization Development. By 1992, he assumed responsibility as a Group VP and later became an EVP. Van was elected to President and CEO in 1996, the 4th generation head in the history of the company. In 2013 Van assumed the chairman’s role as well. Van retired late 2014 as President and CEO but retained the chairman’s role until 2021. Van rejoined Plymouth in late 2024 as the Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors and as President & CEO in August 2025.
Van has also served on two not-for-profit health systems that are now part of Northwestern Medicine.
Van received his BS ME from Cornell University. He went on and earned his JD from Vanderbilt University and received his EMBA from University of Chicago.
Kevin Lamb serves as Interim Chief Financial Officer of Plymouth Tube Company, where he leads the company’s global finance organization and oversees financial strategy, planning, reporting, and risk management. In this role, he is responsible for maintaining financial discipline, supporting operational performance, and positioning Plymouth for sustained long-term growth.
As a member of the executive leadership team, Kevin partners closely with commercial and operational leaders to align financial objectives with overall business strategy. Prior to joining Plymouth, he held senior finance leadership roles, including at IDEAL Industries, where he supported global operations and drove financial planning, performance improvement, and organizational effectiveness initiatives within a complex manufacturing environment.
Kevin is known for his disciplined, collaborative leadership style and his ability to translate financial insight into actionable strategy that supports profitable growth and long-term value creation.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and an Executive MBA and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA).
Holly Both joined Plymouth in 1996 as the pioneering member of its marketing team. Throughout her tenure, she has ascended through roles of increasing responsibility across marketing, sales, and customer service. Demonstrating a compelling blend of analytical and creative competencies, Holly combines industry knowledge and functional expertise to implement scalable strategies. Today, she drives sales growth and enhances the customer experience by developing and executing initiatives designed to create value and differentiate Plymouth in a dynamic, global marketplace.
A dedicated leader, Holly is passionate about inspiring and developing others to achieve sustained success. She serves as the Executive Chair of Women in Titanium, a sub-group of the International Titanium Association, where she mentors women in the industry and fosters their professional growth through developmental and networking opportunities.
Holly holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Northern Illinois University and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
Rickey Searcy joined Plymouth in 2020 as Plymouth Engineered Shapes Plant Manager, bringing over 25 years of progressive experience in Operations Management. Since joining Plymouth, he has ascended through roles of increasing responsibility in manufacturing.
Prior to joining Plymouth, Rickey held manufacturing leadership positions at Lear Corporation, Enviva, and Guilford Mills. He is passionate about problem solving, operational excellence, and developing the next generation of operations leaders.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in operations management from Auburn University.
Crystal Gonzalez joined Plymouth in May 2025 as Director of Human Resources – Corporate and currently serves as Interim Vice President of Human Resources. With over 25 years of progressive HR leadership, Crystal brings a strategic and people-first approach to building high-performing, inclusive workplace cultures.
Her expertise spans talent development, organizational design, employee engagement, and change management. Crystal is known for aligning HR strategy with business objectives, fostering leadership growth, and driving initiatives that enhance employee experience operational effectiveness.
Prior to joining Plymouth, Crystal held key HR leadership roles across diverse industries, where she led transformative programs in workforce planning and leadership development. Her collaborative style and commitment to mentorship have made her a trusted advisor to executive teams and a champion for employee success.
Crystal holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Columbia College of Missouri and holds her SPHR and SHRM-SCP certifications. She is passionate about empowering future HR leaders and actively contributes to professional networks and community initiatives.
