WARRENVILLE, IL (March 4, 2021) – Plymouth Tube Company announced that it has recruited two new members to the company’s board of directors: Gary Brooks and Rand McNally. “I was interested in adding board members who had exceptional track records and could bring world-leading expertise in competencies critical to Plymouth’s success,” explains Drew Van Pelt, Plymouth Tube CEO.
Drew continues to explain, “I was first exposed to Gary’s career a decade ago reading about Wiremold, one of the pre-eminent LEAN transformations, where operating income increased 13.4x and enterprise value 24.7x. In the interviewing process, I further learned about how he repeated that LEAN transformation at Esselte, how he himself had grown a family business early in his career, and how his colleagues lauded Gary as a kind, principles-based leader. We were introduced to Rand as being one of the strongest talent magnets in the Midwest. Whether through his roles as CEO, Board member, or through his work with Vistage, Rand has mentored over 50 C-suite executives to great success. Rand’s extensive personal executive leadership achievements also bring an important voice of the customer, having served in senior positions in the heavy equipment, industrial boiler, valves & fittings, and marine sectors.”
