WARRENVILLE, IL (July 1, 2021) – Plymouth Tube Company announced today that the company has
completed its purchase of a defense parts and protection systems manufacturer located in Schwerte,
Germany from the administration managing the insolvency of Hoesch Schwerter Profile GmbH (HSP).
Previously a division of HSP, Plymouth has renamed the business unit Plymouth Schwerter Technik. The terms
of the transaction were not disclosed.
Acquisition of this business establishes a European footprint for Plymouth and further expands the
company’s capabilities. Extruded metal shapes manufactured by the hot extrusion process are combined with
a wide range of materials and forms – aluminum, stainless steel and nickel alloys, titanium and composites –
to create components and system solutions which provide penetration resistance.
President & CEO Drew Van Pelt remarked, “We are excited to add Plymouth Schwerter Technik’s innovative capabilities to Plymouth’s
product and service portfolio. We expect the combined businesses will provide our customers with a broader
array of solutions to meet their evolving needs.”
Please contact Holly Both, Vice President of Marketing or Fede Barreto, Chief Financial Officer, with any
